VE Partners is excited to introduce Arendse Group (“Arendse”) as our latest addition to our investment portfolio. Arendse is a chain of premium health clubs based in North-Brabant with inhouse physiotherapy practices (“Fysiomore”) and swimming pools for a.o. swimming lessons that goes beyond the conventional fitness offerings, providing a wide range of services aimed at providing a total fitness, health and wellness solution.
Arendse stands out with its modern and cutting-edge equipment, expert guidance and broad set of additional services. In recent years, Arendse has grown strongly across all activities despite the impact of covid-19. Arendse has strategically positioned clubs in Breda, Oosterhout, Raamsdonksveer, Dongen, Lage Zwaluwe and Tilburg ensuring accessibility and convenience for its members and clients. The company has c. 130 employees at the moment of the acquisition.
Cees Arendse: “Since taking over the family business in 2018, which my parents started in 1987, our focus has been on perfecting our business model at the existing locations. This has resulted in strong growth, despite the challenging Covid-period. Now it is time for the next step, which is to expand the organization with new locations. In the coming years, Arendse Group will focus on broadening the service offering, responding to the growing focus on health, wellness and lifestyle, as well as expanding the number of clubs, both organically and through acquisitions of health clubs, gyms and fitness chains.
