Has more than 22 years of experience in hands-on operational and financial management and M&A. Prior to joining VE Partners in 2016, he built a track record as CFO and Board Member and successfully fulfilled various finance leadership and M&A roles in the international oil, gas, and chemicals sectors with Sinopec and Royal Dutch Shell. Prior to this he was part of the European energy & utilities M&A team at Deutsche Bank. Hans has a MA International Economics/Energy Studies from the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University, a BBA from Nyenrode University and he is a qualified post-doctoral controller (University of Maastricht). Next to this he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Maastricht University’s international controllers program.
